I updated my Fitbit app through go the app store and now it won't allow an in app firmware update! Has this happened to anyone else?

Best AnswerHi, @LCameron89, they speed up as they go along... so the first days only a tiny percentage of the users get the update... if that goes okay and noone screams that everything is broken, they let a few more have it... if no hiccups, the next batch is bigger, and so on.
Once they are confident that the update is working well for most users they still release it in batches, but only so it doesn't overwhelm the servers with everyone downloading at once, so the batches are pretty big.
Since there have been almost no posts complaining about the update I am guessing it is going well. That being the case I would imagine everyone would have it within two weeks at the most.
That is not official Fitbit info -- which, of course, I do not have -- that's just based on my experience of how it has worked in the past.

@Naadira1505was the firmware update available before you updated the app? Your implying that it was.
When you go to Fitbit.com there would be a notice on the page saying to update the firmware
Best Answer@SteveH Hmmm I'm not sure. Last night my husband and I were sitting together and at the same time, we both got notifications stating there was a Fitbit app update- mine started downloading automatically whereas my husbands did not. He got another notification that there was a firmware update. He updated the firmware and it didn't come through to me. I suppose I'm just being impatient, but some of my colleagues have said the same.

The app and firmware are very separate things and are updated independently. It sounds like you, like me, are still waiting for the firmware update to be rolled out to us.
Best AnswerDoes anyone know when the update will roll out to everyone? They are really taking their time getting this to more than a handful of their customers. It'd be nice to have some kind of time frame instead of keep checking to see if you're a lucky winner today, feels more like they're dangling a treat in your face just out of reach

Best Answer@Naadira1505 an app update is an update to the Fitbit software in your phone and is handled by your app store. A Firmware upgrade to the tracker is handled by Fitbit directly.
@Sion06 if your referring to the actual download process, Fitbit says up to ten minutes, but this really depends on the speed and quantity of your Internet connection. For me it is usually less than 6 minutes. If you find the process has stalled, please kill the app and try again, maybe changing the way you access the Internet, or even changing the device your updating through.
Now if your referring to how long before everyone has the firmware update available to them, this will depend on how smoothly the updates are going.
