Blaze freezing and battery depletes in 45 minutes

Please advise, ever since the upgrade on Sunday my Blaze is freezing up and then a fully charged battery is depleted in 45 minutes. I reset it, the heart rate is off, I disconnected it from my phones Bluetooth and essentially everything I read. Please help, I have only had it 18 months, I also cleaned the charging points.

A warm welcome to the Community @Marycharisa, thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself.

If your Blaze battery isn't lasting the time it should, I recommend taking a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there. About the freezing, please confirm you did the following to restart your tracker:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy

I have a similar problem that started after my last software update. I contacted Fitbit and was told my battery was showing abnormal behavior and that it is a hardware problem and can't be fixed. My Blaze was 19 months old so it is out of warranty. It worked perfectly until the last software update. Now it dies and freezes constantly. It will show the battery is dead, but when I put it on the charger it says it's charged! Just so strange that so many people seem to have similar issues since the update.

Have you tried a restart or let the battery die, a dead battery will do a hard restart. But might need a soft restart after charging.

No it really isn't strange, it will I my be there few out of the hundreds of thousands that have problems that will be mentioning problems.
