Blaze heart rate monitor not turning off

ANSWERED

my fitbit blaze has green HR light on all the time and it drains the battery in 1 or 2 days.

I turned off HR, all day sync, notifications etc. but because the green HR light is always on (very bright) it drains my battery very quickly. My fitbit used to last 5 days and now its 1 or 2 days max 😞

Any help?

Hi there @bojic11, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm very sorry to hear that you're having problems with the heart rate monitor on your Fitbit Blaze. Thanks a lot for all that you've tried to get your Blaze to work. I'd like to help you out!

I'd like to know if you have by any chance tried to restart your tracker. If not, You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

If your heart rate monitor doesn't turn off with this, you can try to set up your tracker as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Let me know how that goes. I'll be happy to help if you need more assistance!

thank you, I followed the instructions and it has solved the problem. More specifically, setting it up as a new device solved it.

Hi there,

I am having the same issue.

I tried rebooting the fitbit as well as setting up as a new device however both seem to not have fixed the problem.

Can an you please advise any other methods to resolve this?

The green heart rate light being on all the time has been draining my battery after 10-12hours and is starting to get really annoying, especially when I’m trying to sleep.

Man outcome would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Hi I'm having the same issue.

I tried the following:

1) reboot

2) Shutdown via setting section and turning it on again

3) Turning on-off the heart rate via blaze setting section

4) Turning on-off the heart rate via the app.

5) installed and uninstalled the App

6) Added my blaze as a new device

None worked so far.

The green light is always on. The last thing i did was do a sync before i went to bed. Did not where it to sleep. Next morning i found it on my table with the green light shining brightly consistently. My Blaze is 1 year and 4 months old.

I've had the same issue for the last year.   Only option Fitbit gave me was to replace my Blaze.  Unfortunately, they don't make the blaze anymore, otherwise I would have.  😞

I also have this issue, the sensor lights are permanently on draining my battery.
I’ve done a hard reset, uninstalled the blaze and added it again, but again no joy.

the blaze has not been dropped or damaged in anyway shape or form and this is now making me question my choice of smart watch???

any help appreciated, or is it a case of replacing the sensor 🤔😟

None of the suggestions have worked for me - to get the pulse lights to turn off.  I've been so happy with the Blaze!!!  I have an Alta don't like nearly as much.  I'm so disappointed that Fitbit doesn't have some resolution.
