Blaze heart rate stopped working

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Blaze heart rate is no longer working. I have checked all settings on my phone and the watch and all the settings are correct. I have rebooted the watch (left & lower right button), reinstalled the watch on my phone, the green lights are flashing and still nothing.

The watch tracks my steps, floors etc. but not heart rate. The firmware is up to date.

Please advise.

Hi I am having the same issues as Mary. I have rebooted and logged out. Nothing is showing on Blaze and nothing showing on app. Historic data states the same resting heat rate but graph data

We should all just accept that this product is rubbish and stop buying it, also advising others against it

I had the same problem and followed your directions.  It fixed my problem.  Thanks for posting your solution.

Still not working... I wonder if it happens with other models

I eventually got ahold of someone at Fitbit and explained my problem in
great detail. They asked for some screenshots from my dashboard which I
sent. A few days later they sent me a new watch.

I am having the same problem.  All these problems took place after I updated my Blaze yesterday.

Hi there,

I've been having the same issue with my Blaze for a month now.   I got it back to working a few weeks ago and now it's stopped again.  I've tried all of the troubleshooting ideas to no avail.  Help!

This happened to me a few years ago and at that time I somehow reached
someone in tech. support. They sent me some instructions and a then a new
watch.

Just forget about it. I switched to Garmin.
My Blaze’s battery only lasts 2-3 hours after 18 months of usage.
So disappointed

Thanks so much! I found someone in Support and they replaced my Fitbit.

I contacted Support and since it was still under warranty, they sent me a new one.

Blessings,

Hi there everyone!  Good to see you all in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

@vishu.itm I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with your battery not lasting as it should and heart rate not working. Thanks a lot for what you've already tried!

I can recommend putting your tracker to charge and once it's fully charged, take it off the charger and put it on. Sync it and use it as you would normally do. Make sure to sync it frequently after this (every one or two hours at least) so that the battery levels are recorded on the app logs and once the battery dies, let me know so that I can take a closer look and then we can move forward with other options to get you back on track.

@krishawna_1 I'm happy to hear that our Support Team was able to get your tracker replaced. If you need more help, let me know!

My Blaze stopped working and Fitbit offered me a 25% discount on a new one.  Thanks but no thanks.

Should have gone Apple.  It's no wonder the Blaze was discontinued.

Hi @FerdinandFitbit

I did all that and the battery doesn't last more than 4-5 hours and the heart rate monitor is not constant. Am I supposed to expect that after 16-18 months?

I appear to be having the same issue with the HR stopping. Tried all the fixes suggested with no luck. My Blaze appears to be holding its charge ok

My Blaze holds it’s Charge, just shuts off all day. Was told too bad, it’s out of warranty (12mnths) but here’s a 25% discount towards a new one.

Hi there @Doctorbigbadbob, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you're also having problems with the heart rate monitor on your Blaze not responding. Thanks for all that you've tried to get it to work.

Now, I'd like to know what is exactly going on. Are the green lights on the back of the Blaze not responding? Have you restarted your tracker? If not, You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

Also, check your heart rate settings. For this, swipe to the last screen on your Blaze and access the settings. Once you're there, go to the heart rate section. Make sure to set the heart rate monitor to On or Auto.

If it still doesn't work, let me know and I'll be happy to provide more help!

i'm having the same problem.  a few days ago all was normal and then all of a sudden it didn't log my heart rate.  the green light is on all the time trying to do so though, i assume this is why the battery life now sucks.

yesterday i changed the heart rate setting from auto to 'on' and it started to work again but that's stopped working now too.

i've reset the device, removed and re-added my blaze but no change.  everything else works but not the heart rate.

i also noticed that unlike in the past, when you take the watch off and put it aside face down the green light doesn't stop now. in the past it seemed to detect there was nothing there and stop after 10 seconds or so - until it detected movement anyway.  mine's been on a table for 10 minutes so far flashing away

i got mine in apr 2017 and am in the UK.  i guess i'm just SOL?

what make/model would people recommend to replace this?  i came to fitbit from the microsoft band but was burnt on that, now burnt on fitbit too (here in the EU we expect devices to last a reasonable time - 2 years is not reasonable)
