Blaze, iPhone, battery life.

The firmware update thread has plenty of examples of Blazes going wrong, and I know people generally don’t come to a forum to post “hey everything is working great!”, but I’m trying get a handle on how bad the issue is.

How many people  have done the update and are using iPhone and everything is working?   Please post if you did the upgrade and everything went well.

It's great to see you around @HowardSH. If you are experiencing issues with your Blaze battery life, I recommend taking a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there. After these steps, please test your tracker.

Thanks, but that's not what I asked.

I am asking if anyone actually has this combination working well.  Blaze with new FW, and iPhone.

I see lots of reports of junked devices and features no longer working.

Does anyone have all these features working properly?

I did the upgrade with Charge HR. Not only did the upgrade destroy--literally kill the device--it also drained the device battery in the process as well as my iphone. This is the second charge HR that died during an update. I am disconnecting all fitbit devices and working hard at finding ways to restore the iphone battery life that I had prior to this update. While I like FitBit devices and the customer service, I have had the worst experiences with the software upgrades. Both times killed the device.

Thanks for the update @HowardSH and for the information @DianeFr.

I would like to know if you guys have contacted our support team? Have they offer you an explanation or a solution for this issue?

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy

In response to my HR Charge issues, I worked about 4 times with support (a few hours in total). The support folks were helpful BUT there was no solution to save my HR Charge. This is the second time that a software upgrade killed my device. Support had no solution other than to give me a 25% discount on a new device (not going do it) and to contact Apple about the iPhone. So my solution. Removed all Fitbit apps from devices, put device away, bought a $22 (Fitness Tracker HR, Letsfit from Amazon). The new tracker works great and does everything I need. I do miss having the FitBit computer app that synced everything. Too risky for the iPhone and too costly to keep replacing the devices. Hope this helps. Good luck...

Left a message below. My issues were not fixable after the firmware update. Second time an update killed my HR Charge device.
