Blaze impressions x2, 3 days in

So my wife and I both decided to pick up the Blaze on Tuesday evening this week.  I was coming from a Charge HR and my wife was coming from a Flex.  

 

My wife was originally very worried about the size of the device.  Especially since BestBuy didn't have a test model she could try on nor would they let us open a box to see it before we bought it.  It was fine I was buying one for me anyways, so we grabbed both boxes, I opened mine while we were still checking out, she tried it on and thought it was acceptable and we were on our way.

 

After even 1 day with it my wife almost forgot it was on her wrist. She found it very comfortable and found it "got in the way" far less than her flex.  The only "issue" she has had with it so far, is that our 1 year old son has figured out the watch is like our phones and he can swipe on it to make things move.  He's managed to turn off notificaitons a few times so far.  

 

I've taken it off only for showers.  It looks to be just under 50% now, I'll probably wear it until it dies to see how long it actually goes (which is typically longer than the low battery email has you believe).  I get a LOT of text notifications, so I wouldn't be surprised at ALL if it got under 5 days, but I'll be thrilled if I get to 5 days. 

 

After getting the call & text notifications my wife really wants the abililty to get some other notifications, for her it's facebook & facebook messenger, for me I'd probably like email notifications (or I'd hate it on really busy days at work lol), but I'm not going to knock the Blaze for not having these.  We knew that going in and when we decide to upgrade devices again, perhaps we'll look for something with more notification options....maybe.  

 

The screen is really great, very crisp and colorful. It seems to be "just right" in terms of sensitivity, though there have definitely been a time or two when it hasn't responded and I could have sworn I touched it.  

 

Cons:

- the charger is a bit of a pain.  Wish it wasn't that way, but it's not going to make me return it by any means

- cannot customize the order of the screens like on the charge HR (which would be nice)

- limited watch faces (for now?) some of which aren't the faces that were in the original ad literature.

 

Oveall my wife and I are loving our Blazes

I agree with everything you said. I've found that I have enjoyed it more and more. It is a bit of a novelty to me though; I didn't own a fitness tracker or smart watch before this. I, too, don't mind the limited notifications. With a phone in the pocket at all times, being able to see who is calling or texting on the wrist is enough for me; I also like the calendar notifications on the wrist ( a quick reminder without having to reach in the pocket)! I do hope they come out with more watch faces. The charging is odd, but I have gotten used to it and it's not really much of a hassle.
