Blaze is paired via Bluetooth, shows music from phone, but no calls or text

Alright.  Now the thing won't show me any calls or texts.  It worked yesterday.  I have unpaired and re-paired serveral times.  It will show me the name of the song on my phone but it won't show me my calls.  It is paired.  and shows on my phone as such.  Blaze Classic - Paired is exactly what the phone says.  My phone pairs no problem with the car and any computer.  Any ideas?  Could this one just be defective?

Hello @xzy123 what phone do you have?

I'm not sure if your unpairing/pairing the Blaze Classic or Blaze, the Blaze can only be unpaired and the app will then do the pairing. Have you checked the settings in the Fitbit app and the notifacation center (ios), or sound settings (Android)?

A restart of the phone or Blaze is sometimes needed.

I returned the Blaze and bought the Charge 2.  It doesn't show my actual texts, but it actually works.  My Blaze wasn't even tracking my heart rate accurately and wouldn't synch up with MFP.  It was a disaster to try and do anything with it.  So back to the store.  The Blaze is a great idea, but poorly executed as all those extra features didn't really work well.

Hi there @xzy123. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂

To add to @Rich_Laue's response, next time you have problems with the notifications, disabling and enabling the connection again could work. For that, you just need to go into your Bluetooth settings on your phone, look for the tracker that you have paired, tap on it and choose the "Forget device" option. After that, just go into the Fitbit app, tap on your tracker, go to notifications, enable them and it will ask permission to pair it and it should go through without a problem.

Glad to hear that your new tracker is working fine! 😄
