I did the exact same walk as my mum and aunty, the map shows on my Fitbit app that I only did 1.35km where theirs show's over 3km. Also the map is wrong, by a long way. But it had similar step count. 

I don't know why this is happening?

The app is up to date, I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times with no success and this has happened a few times. Ideas?

I'm facing the same issue, but for bike rides. While the calories are getting tracked through heart rate, GPS tracking isn't happening i.e. route map and related tracking like speed zones, heart rate zones etc. are not getting tracked. So I've been falling back on Strava for tracking my bike rides through last week.
