As per the subject. If I charge it the time moves at normal speed but it will stay behind until I sync. There doesn't seem to be any other data missing but it does make it useless as a watch.

Yes when the voltage gets low or goes completely dead, electronic devices become unstable, as with most clocks/watches the time will then need to be corrected. With Fitbit the way to set the time is through a aync..
The easiest thing to do is not let the battery get so low.

There's enough battery left to power the display but not keep time properly? I realise voltage regulation could cause some slowdown but this extreme. This morning it was down into the red bars and it lost 44 minutes overnight.
