I've had my Blaze about a year, and I've noticed that every few months it starts to lose it's battery life. Normal has always been about 5 days or so. It starts getting down to 1 1/2 to 2 days of battery life when I have to "fix" it.
Here's what I've done to fix it, and it works every time (brings battery life back to the full 5ish days).
When the battery dies, press the "back" button, and it will either start up the Blaze for a minute, and die again, or it will just show the empty battery symbol for a few seconds and turn off. If it shows the battery, just keep repeating that until it won't turn the screen on anymore. It can take an hour of on/off cycles to totally discharge the battery. After it stops turning on, wait a few minutes, and try again a few times. Totally discharge it. Then, charge the battery for an hour or so. Issue solved for a few months.
It seems like every time the battery is charged while not being 100% discharged, it loses a bit of it's capacity. Or battery memory, or whatever some people call it. This seems to take care of it for a bit.
I don't know if this is fixable via firmware update, but it's pretty annoying losing a day or 2 of stats to "fix" this myself.
