Blaze miles reported vs actual - very close

Daily, my granddaughter who has the Alta and I walk 3 times around a 1-mile track near our house and find that from start to finish 3 laps equals 2.97 which is very close and can be 'off' based on hugging the inside track when going around slower folks. 

For us, it is close enough and neither of us has any complaints concerning its accuracy.  

Concerning steps, every so often, I count out steps and compare to the reported on the blaze with 100% accuracy. 

Overall, we are impressed with the tracker and app.  My wife has the HR and its accuracy is the same.

@drFrank out of curiosity did you use the connected GPS, start the tracking manually,  or just let the auto tracking so its thing?

We have done it both ways with similar accuracy.  I just started using the connected GPS and without it, the accuracy is spot on too.  The track has 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 mile markers and as I pass each one, I check the blaze (this is without the GPS connected).
