I have used a flex for several years and just purchased a Blaze this week. I enjoy using sleep mode on my flex to get the added stat of minutes to fall asleep. Does Blaze currently have this feature? or will it in the future?

I hit the "begin sleep now" from the app and when I wake up I push "I'm awake" also from the app...after it updates I am given the stats under the sleep section from the dashboard including how long it took me to fall asleep
Thanks, I had never seen that button before in the app. That makes sense. Last night I also figured out a work around. I kept a notebook by my bed. Wrote down what time I got in bed and what time I got out. Then I manually adjusted the log this morning with those start and finish times and that worked too. But I like knowing there is a better way.
It's a shame with the beautiful interface on the blaze, that they couldn't add a sleep menu to add those features right on the tracker.

Hi @smarkus! Your Blaze, too, will show time to fall asleep if the intial period it recognizes as you "sleeping" is restless.

Hey hey hey @smarkus! I noticed that @MakMak provided the info you were looking for. Basically, all the wristband trackers use the same method to track sleep, you can check our FAQs to refresh the info.
Additionally, if you would like to learn more about your new Fitbit Blaze, you can give a look to the product manual.
See you, I'll be around!

Actually I'm still looking for an answer. Flex goes into sleep mode when you do mutliple taps, so then it can caluculate how long until you actually fall asleep. I don't get that stat with the blaze at this point. Unless there is a way to put it in sleep mode I don't know about.

The Flex now also has auto sleep detection, which works the same as the Blaze, Surge, Charge HR, and Charge. With the auto detect the time to fall a sleep is never shown. Fitbit feels feels they might be able to fine tune the algorithms this could be in the future.
I didnt think that you where still using the button to initiate sleep. Yes the app, or editing sleep later will work.

Thanks Rich, it's helpful to know what I'm experiencing is normal. With auto sleep detect I don't ever see my blaze determine the time to fall asleep. It's funny, even when it exactly agrees with the minute I say I got into bed and then might show the first 8 minutes resltess, it won't actually display the minutes to fall asleep stat unless I manaually adjust the sleep log start time.
I used to read in bed and could take over an hour to fall asleep. I've really improved my nightly routine and have enjoyed getting the feedback in the app to see my progress. So for me, manually adjusting the sleep log each morning has been a simple and worthwhile step to take.

In the phone app press the sleep tile, on the next page in the top right you will see Start sleep now.
