Blaze not accurate on steps or mileage

I am finding for the last month or so my fitbit is not accurate at all. It is not recording all steps (will lag for about 30-40 steps then take a few, then lag etc etc). I am finding on a treadmill, the treadmill is showing more mileage than the fitbit. IE Treadmill is showing 1.95 miles while fitbit is showing only 2.2km (It should be over 3.1km).

It does not hold a charge (maybe 2 days and then it dies)

I have reset it several times. Removed the app off my phone. Etc etc and still goes back to being very inaccurate. Considering it is only 8 months old and I spent $250 I expect way more than what it is giving me.

I am getting the same thing on the treadmill and it is very frustrating. I also find lately that when I walk, it doesn't all my steps, or if I am typing it starts recording steps. Very inaccurate and it is only 8 months old. I have reset several times, made sure fully charged (it only holds a charge for 2 days now), took the app off my phone and reinstalled etc but not accurate at all.

It's great to welcome you @JBLPN. Thanks for troubleshooting this issue by yourself. Regarding the accuracy inconvenience you are having, I recommend checking if your stride length information is correct and updated. You can do this by following the instructions provided in this post. Now about the battery, please check this post, where you will be able to find some tips.

Catch you later. Woman Happy

Someone needs to explain how adjusting a stride length stops the Blaze recording phantom steps when doing something like typing.  I've had this device less than a week and experiencing the same type of issues.  Stride length has been measured by myself at least half a dozen times and is correct.  Recording thousands of steps over a period of hours that I simply haven't taken.  Very annoying

Changing the stride lean gtg will not affect phantom steos, it will affect the miles reported while on a treadmill as @AlejandraFitbit suggested.

Setting your tracker as if it is on your dominate atm may help some with phantom steos.

Unfortunately I've already tried this and although it slightly improved I'm still recording steps I haven't taken.  I fear the best option is to return the device.  Thanks for your reply 👍

Whenever I hit the link to adjust stride, I get a red box telling me I'm not authorized to see the content. Not particularly helpful.
