Blaze not an option to sync with on Windows app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am trying to set up and use my Blaze with my Windows phone.

The very first step is to choose the tracker you wish to setup/sync.

Blaze is not an option.

Email support is not understanding what I am telling them, keeps telling me to verify the app is compatible and to restart my phone and Blaze. Of course its compatible, I wouldnt have been able to install the app if it wasnt. Turning my phone and/or the Blaze off and on again, isnt going to magically make the blaze  pop up in the list of options to choose.

These are the only trackers listed for me to choose for me to sync! The Blaze is not an option! 12092633_1122751054424386_1615018681_n.jpg12804580_1122751067757718_277250666_n.jpg

@JRKennedy which Windows phone and which os are you using? The Blaze is optimised for Windows 10 devices. If you're using something else, it won't show.

Hello @JRKennedy welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂 Have you tried to uninstall the and reinstall the app from your phone? Also you can review if your phone is on the list of compatible syncing devices @SunsetRunner thanks for your cooperation 🙂

Let me know if you have any questions 🙂

Yes I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, now the app has been "pending" for a few days now. No way to cancel the download, turning phone off and on doesn't help. I have been emailing fitbit support for over a week now and nothing is changing. My phone and OS is on the approved list. If it were not I wouldn't be able to get the app.

I am having the exact same problem. I have a Lumia 822, checked fitbit.com for compatability with Blaze, unistalled and reinstalled the app on my phone and still cannot see it as an option for a new device.

After a week of major frustration and back and forth emails that were not getting anywhere I finally had a chance to call the support phone line.
I talked with Julio M. on the fitbit team. He was able to find out that this is issue is newly coming to light for them. He advised there is something looking into a resolution so that we can eventually use the Blaze tracker with our phone.
Meanwhile there is another issue with the Blaze charger, it can also serve as the dongle that the older trackers came with and served to sync the tracker with the fitbit app on your computer. But it only works with Windows 10. When I plugged it into all 6 of my USB ports my computer didn't register that it was plugged in at all.
Because of that he ordered and overnight shipped me a dongle, so that I may at least try to use the Blaze with my computer, until they can resolve the issue with the app.
I should receive the dongle by Thursday and will see if I can use that to setup my Blaze on my computer fitbit app.

I will not be marking this issue as resolved yet, because I solely wanted use with my phone. So though I finally have some sort of progress on this, I am still disappointed it's taking so long to fix.

Of course, I'm having the same problem!  I'm very angry with Fitbit because I shopped the MS band, the Garmin, and Fitbit Blaze.  I specifically checked for compatibility with my Lumia 830 on the Blaze site and it said it was compatible!  I spent $200 to buy it and now it won't show up.  It is not a supported device.  It is extremely frustrating because the App works well on the phone, it is updated and I like using it.  I'm ready to go, but ... I'm hosed.  I'm giving it a week and then I'm returning it.  Best Buy gave me 15 days to return it if I'm not happy.  Well, I'm angry.  Within a week, I will leave Fitbit forever and this was my 3rd device.  Of course, mostly because I was misled.

For those who have the Blaze and Win 8.1 phone. I've had the Blaze for a few days now and this is what I've experienced so far, along with some trial and error. I've got the Lumia 1020 running 8.1 and like several others I don't need a new phone. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. So here is what I've done so far to get my Blaze to work with Win 8.1. I used my wife's phone, GS6, to add the Blaze to my Fitbit account (my Fitbit bluetooth should be here today, thank you Fitbit!). My Lumia 1020's bluetooth automatically detected the Blaze and I can connect to it. Even though the Blaze is not listed in the Fitbit app for Win 8.1, I'm still able to sync it to the Fitbit app. Also the Fitbit app on my phone will still track me even though I haven't sync'd it to the Blaze. Since the Blaze uses connected GPS through the phone there shouldn't be any difference if the Blaze is connected or not. The app is still tracking me and it syncs with my Fitbit account from my Win 8.1 phone. The notifications on the Blaze do not work but at least the app on the phone does. I hope this helps and gives other Win 8.1 users some hope until a fix or update comes out.

Update: I've been able to manually sync my Blaze successfully through the settings in the current Win 8.1 Fitbit app and all appears to be working fine and it's been keeping my online Fitbit account up to date with my Blaze through my Lumia 1020. Even though the Blaze isn't listed in the Fitbit app on my phone, everything appears to be working ok so far. I thought this might help some others or at least give them something to try so they can use their Blaze on Win Phone 8.1 for now?

Just purchased the Blaze because I read on another thread that this issue had been resolved.  Unfortunately, I am getting the same message as the original post.  ALL other devices are available to sync except the Blaze.  It has been over 1 year - has this been resolved?  My phone is the Nokia Lumia 1520 and it works great otherwise. I dont want to rig it up and access it through another device. I only want to access through my phone. Should I take the fitbit back tomorrow?

This issue will NOT be resolved. I was given the official word a year ago, they have no intentions to resolve this, that it is intended for use with more up to date software.

Hi, I appreciate these comments were some time ago so not sure if this is all active.

My Mum has also just purchased a FitBit blaze but she has a Windows Lumia phone (I think windows 😎 and Blaze of course is not showing as an option.  I note your comment, re: Blaze only for Windows 10 so does that mean it would never have worked on my Mums phone?  I feel we have been completely ripped off as there is nothing on the outside packaging (or inside) indicating only suitable for windows 10.  We paid cash at Argos a couple of weeks ago but of course can't find the receipt.  we uninstalled the App and re-installed etc but see now that wouldn't make any difference.  Any idea what we can do??

Hi, just saw the comment from someone in July 2017....so Fitbit are still selling these items without addressing the problem and without putting on the packaging that it is only for windows 10?  This is  a complete con!
