I just purchased a Blaze and am having the same issue...will not charge.  I "googled" the Blaze and did not see this issue.  If I had I would have seen that this is a major problem with the the Blaze and would not have purchased it.  I am hoping they will take it back where I purchased it!  It is terrible that you spend this kind of money on something and it does not work out of the box!

   Shame on you Fitbit!

@Jackie188 are you using a USB on the computer or your phones charger. Some have found that their computer doesn't work,

He one thing to try is a restart... Press both the left and lower right buttons for 12 seconds

I have the exact same problem!!! Need to set up but battery is too low and I cant get it to charge ... This thing is making me maaaaad Smiley Mad

@Rawkgirl plug it into the charger. Or 30-60 minutes, as stated above if the display says www.fitbit.com/setup there not be any sign that the unit is charging. It will be.

After 30 minutes try again, the will tell you if it is still low.

What do you see on the screen? Mine is the fitbit logo and it blinks on and
off. What I did was I remove it from the charger. Wait for the fitbit logo
to go off. I deleted the device from my hp. I charge it and see the batt
icon for a while then it changes to the fitbit logo again. I waited for 2
hrs (assuming this is the estimated charging time based on the comments)
then it really show it's fully charged.

@Angrybirdie so is the Fitbit logo still blinking?

If a restart doesn't fix it, I would have suggested to let the battery completely die until the tracker shuts down.

Best Answer
Yup, I drained out the batt before charging, thus it shows the low batt
icon for awhile then back to fitbit logo.

When you see the Fitbit logo it means the Blaze started up. If it continues to keep restarting then reach out to Fitbit.

I had the same issues today after having my blaze for 3 months or so. I tried cleaning the pins and connectors, changing the wall port, hard reset, uninstalling, reinstalling. Finally after all of that I switched to my iPhone'a wall port and I finally got the charging status to show up on my blaze screen. Here's to hoping it works!

I had the same problem and solved it by first plugging the Blaze into my computer, seeing the 'setup' instruction and returning to the App on my iPhone to start the process again - the 'low battery' message made it impossible to charge the Blaze  without the firmware update.  It is charging now.
