Just opened it. Brand new. I went to start an exercise and tried to connect to my phone but it says my phone isn't around or to check the fitbit app and there's nothing that I can find to fix my problem

Hi @Samus_Aran! I had a similar problem with my Blaze. To possibly fix you issue, make sure your Fitbit app is open in the background. Also, make sure that ‘All Day Sync’ is turned on and that your Blaze is paired with your device.
If if any of the above solves your problem, please ‘Accept as Solution’!
Happy stepping, @RunningFreak!

Sorry for the late reply!
Also try the following if you haven’t already.
1.) Go to the ‘Exercise’ page on your Fitbit Blaze.
2.) Find the Run exercise and tap the gear icon.
3.) Scroll down to where it says Use Phone GPS.
4.) Make sure the setting is turned to on.
If you’re issue still continues or the setting is already on, try contacting Fitbit Support!
P.S. Out of curiosity, what kind of phone do you have? I’m beta testing iOS 11, and I seem to be running into an issue with my Blaze and my iPhone’s Bluetooth.

Fitbit notifacation services must be running. Normally a phone restart gets the gps back up.
With a question like this, which is about a phone problem, it would be very helpful to know the type phone.
