Blaze not counting stairs - not resolved

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Blaze is not consistent in tracking stairs and occasionally steps as well - sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I have looked at the replies regarding stairs not being counted and nothing in the responses has either worked or doesn't apply to me. I've paid close attention to how I'm going up stairs but cannot see any reason for this. When I'm at work, the stairs are quite high & it still tracks only some of the time. Doesn't matter if I move my arm or don't move my arm, etc. This is very frustrating and I am thinking about switching trackers as a result.

Mine was tracking well until a week or so ago. Now it isn’t counting stairs at all!

Hey there @Pegster229 @Jeansen, great to have you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you are having problems with the stairs not being counted accurately on your trackers. Since you have already tried several things, I can recommend first, restarting your trackers by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

After that, proceed to set up your tracker as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem and hopefully will now be counting your stairs in a more accurate way.

Let me know how it goes!
