Blaze not functioning properly

My blaze does not show my text messages.  It will only  notify me sometimes that i have one.  It does not count all of my steps.  I believe i am shorted about half of my steps daily.  i have compared it to the fitbit one,  a Samsung device and the treadmills that i use..  It wont even notify me when i have a call...and i do have my settings correct.  What can i do to get it working properly?

I am very upset about this.

I would like to know if you app is updated, is it? If it is not, I recommend updating your Fitbit app by following the instructions provided in the How do I update my Android Fitbit app? post.
