Blaze not holding a charge - I am not alone

I am having the same issue. My Blaze was working fine. It had run out of charge after 4 days, which I would expect. However, since I have fully charged it, now it keeps shutting down on me after an hour. I put it back in the charger for several hours again, it appeared to be fine, only I see it shuts down within an hour. Now when I place it back in the charger, it shows it is fully charged, I put in back on, and it shuts down again, within an hour. There was absolutely no indication of my Blaze starting to lose battery life. The more I view this forum, the more I wonder whether Fitbit placed a worm in their app where all the Blazes would start to fail around 6/30. Seems very odd that so many reports of battery failure are occurring at the same time.

My Fitbit Blaze hasn't been recharging this week.  It has always recharged in the past, but since the last full recharge, about 5 days ago, it hasn't responded to the charging cradle.  The battery icon continues to blink with a red line, and does not bring up the green charging icon.  The charge is gradually dissipating.  I expect it to die soon, and want to know if there is a way I can get it to charge, or if I can replace the internal battery, if that is the problem.

My battery has been losing it's charge really quickly for about a month. Fully charged last night them died today mid-morning! Charged it then and charging it again now because it's died again! Only had it a couple of years!!

It seems there is a large issue, everyone is having the same issue, has anyone contacted the company? I did hear the Blaze is discontinued?

Mine has been good for about 4 years, and now it will not charge.

A friend has a different style and hers stop communicating with the app, finally it started working. Did they put a worm in the last update, which was about the end of June?

I did notice that around the time my Blaze stopped holding a charge I was getting a notification on my iPhone to leave the Fitbit app open. I’m wondering if something in the app is causing the watch to communicate continuously and draining the battery.

Yes Fitbit responded but pass warranty. They gave me a 25% discount towards new purchase.

Wow, i am not alone with the Blaze crashing out in the last month. There is definitely something going on here that these would all crash at the same time. I would say it must have something to do with updates crashing the units. Fitbit needs to step up to the plate and fix this problem. Like others you spend good money on these units.

I contacted FitBit and they told me that all they could do was give me a 25% discount on a future FitBit purchase.  I asked to speak to their manager and they allowed me to do so.  I explained that this has been happening to a lot of FitBit Blaze owners in the past month, so it must have been an update to the FitBit.  She told me that no updates have been sent to the FitBit Blaze for over a year since it is a discontinued item.  She did offer me a free watch band in addition to the 25% discount but said that is all she could do.

I went with the Apple Watch 5, no regrets.  The bonus is that it actually counts steps correctly!

My Blaze is 4 and a half years old - I am extremely happy with how it suits my lifestyle and had no problem with charging until a few days ago. Now I have to charge everyday and the charge doesn't even last 24 hours. This looks suspiciously like a ploy, I am aware the Blaze is now obsolete but come on.. I won't be buying another Fitbit.
