Blaze not holding a charge

I have had my Blaze for nearly two years now and have come to notice I need to charge the battery after 2 days. I have just synced my Fitbit today after it being on charge all day and it’s still only showing 15% on the app, but full on the Fitbit. I spend more time charging it than actually wearing it now so it’s become pretty pointless.

I understand how are you feeling and will be glad to help you out with this battery issue. If your Blaze isn't charging properly, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? and follow the instructions provided there.

Now, if it isn't holding a charge, take a look at the article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? and follow the tips provided. After following those tips, test your unit.

Let me know the outcome. 🙂

Their update broke your watch. happened to me too.

Best Answer

Mines doing the same since the update happened. Charge holds for about 4 hours then I need to re charge😤😤😤it’s getting hopeless. Also, bpm not showing/recording. I think you’ve bust my watch with the update........😭😭😭

My Fitbit is 20 months old. It will not hold a charge past 2hrs. It is pretty well useless to me now. It has left a bad taste in my mouth for Fitbit. I have tried everything that the internet has to offer concerning solutions and nothing has worked.

Yes, mine is having the same issue… It suddenly won’t stay charged past two hours after the update. Prior to that it would stay charged for days at a time… Super frustrating!

Why aren’t you mentioning that the Fitbit update broke our devices?

None of this seems to be doing the trick. My fit bit battery life currently shows this

However the the app is reading this

It’s ridiculous I’m having to charge it up every other day for a few hours at a time

I can’t believe Fitbit have not replied with a solution yet. Bitterly disappointed in their product. We need our money back

Happened to me too. I love the blaze but suddenly one day the charge only lasts a couple hours. I’ve done everything they suggested but nothing worked. Maybe time for another upgrade. Or is there a way to go back to the previous version??

Best Answer

At last you get a day. I don’t get more than a couple hours.

  •  I’m considering move to the Apple Watch as you are still yet to provide an actual solution to this problem. I would rather take the inaccuracy of an Apple watch over a dying Fitbit

Chalk up another Blaze that doesn't hold a charge.  All of a sudden the charge went from lasting 4-5 days to 1 day, less than one day actually.  Frustrating.  So now it's gathering dust in the corner, and I've gone back to using my Flex, at least that one, even tho it's over 5 years old, hold a charge for 3-4 days.  Fitbit got that one right, too bad they couldn't have engineered the Blaze as solidly!  Or design it so that the battery could be replaced, easily replaced that is, without having to disassemble and solder contacts.

It’s ridiculous. A 250 dollar watch is useless after 20 months. Unless they offer something more than a 25% discount (which is an insult) I am never buying another Fitbit device.

Fitbit-please respond to this thread! There are clearly common faults with Blaze and we need a solution. Surely you can see you’re going to lose customers!!!!!!!☹️

My Blaze has also not been holding a charge and have to charge it every morning . It has stopped syncing with my phone and I don't get notifications anymore either. Something is definitely wrong.

You get a full day out of your blaze? Consider yourself lucky.

I get between 2-4 hours. it has even been covered by the media

I suspect they will eventually offer more than a 25% discount. otherwise, I am never buying another fitbit device.

The link you posted is regarding a charge 2 firmware update.  What does this have to do with the Blaze?
