So, I've had my Blaze for 1 year, 3 months and now the battery is failing, lasting less than half the time it used to. But because it's a whopping 3 months past the warranty it cannot be replaced (planned obsolescence?). And since Fitbit doesn't repair batteries my only option was to buy a new one, albeit with a discount.
The problem with this is that the Blaze model is discontinued and I cannot use said discount on the Ionic or Versa, the only two watches that are equivalent (Versa being the same price as a Blaze used to be). So not only can my watch not be replaced or repaired, my only option given to me is to buy a brand new watch, and not even one that was on par with the Blaze as far as the screen size goes.
The inability to repair your own devices and making the discount useless for those who wanted an equivalent replacement are terrible business practices. I'd go buy a new Blaze off of amazon, but given their apparent battery failure would not be worth the hassle another year down the road. Sorry Fitbit, but I think I will find another brand of tracker.

It's great to welcome you @jchaberlin.
I am sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your Blaze. As we introduce new products, we occasionally make changes to our product line to keep you on track with the most up-to-date health and fitness tracking tools, that's why the discount don't apply to the Ionic and Versa at the moment.
You can always check our compare page, where you will be able to see the other Fitbit options you have to use the discount. Maybe you find one that meet your needs besides the Blaze.
If you need anything else, do not hesitate to post it.

My Blaze is 6 months old and barely lasting two days at this point. Notifications are at a minimum as I just get texts which are very few during the day. I workout and use that function twice a week for one hour, and only use the watch to check the time once in awhile. I charged it Monday afternoon and by Wednesday afternoon it was flashing the red battery low button. I'm not not even able to log both my workouts on one charge it's draining that fast. Luckily the store I purchased from has a one year warranty so looks like I will be returning it. I was thinking of upgrading to the Versa, but from the looks of all the complaints on that forum I'm not sure I really want another Fitbit at this point. I may look into the Apple watch or something else that is around this price point but will last longer. I'm completely annoyed that I have to charge this thing every other day when it was supposed to last 4 days on a charge and originally lived up to that. I was charging it once a week up until a few weeks ago when it all of a sudden just started draining insanely fast. It seems to drain 50% in one day and then the next day will be the flashing red battery low. I just can't see how something that functions normally to drain that quickly.

I've already gone through the whole support process. That's how I found out that not only is the battery replaceable but the discount I received does not apply to versa or ionic

I agree my Fitbit has the same problem. What a poor company and product. They have lost a customer in me and I will tell all my fiends and others to stay away from the products. Why would you buy another Fitbit and have it fail even with a discount.
