Blaze not keeping accurate steps

Hello,

I have had my Blaze since September.  I don't like having a watch on at night so I power it down and turn it back on in the morning.  I always immediately sync it with my phone to reset the time.  This has worked well until the past two nights.  Now when I try to sync it, it nearly crashed the Blaze.  I have to reset the blaze to get it to respond and by the time it is reset it has "saved" the previous days steps and I end up with the steps from the previous day adding to my total.  When I look at my dashboard I can clearly see it doesn't have any data to record those numbers but it still reports the total.  I started this morning with two days worth of steps so before I got out of bed I had 24,000 steps...  Has something changed to where my Blaze will no longer get the "midnight reset" that it used to get just fine when I first synced with my phone?  Can I initial a "midnight reset" myself to clear the unwanted steps?

Hey there @carpedm. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums!

I'm sorry you're having issues with your tracker. It seems like it's carrying over the information from the previous day to the new one.

I'm not sure what could be causing this but the first thing I can recommend is restarting your tracker. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot. After that, try it out and see how it goes. If that doesn't work, you can also set up your tracker as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Let me know how it goes!

Would it not be easier to just remove it from the arm? If all day sync is off and the heart rate set to auto, the drain on the battery is minimal
