Blaze not syncing to LG G6

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just found out today that my phone isn't syncing properly (and never has) to my LG G6 because it's not supported. You have got to be kidding me? This phone isn't new, it's not a no name brand, what gives?

Tax refund is going towards a Garmin and this Blaze is going in the garbage. I don't want anyone else to deal with this.

It's great to see you around @esch.

Our team is hard working in testing the compatibility of several phones, it might take a while to add a new one but you can keep an eye on our list of compatible mobile devices for any update. In the meantime, you can try the instructions provided in the Having trouble syncing? post but I don't guarantee it will work 100%. Keep in mind that you can always sync with a computer or another compatible device.

Catch you later. Smiley Happy

Unfortunately troubleshooting doesn't help.

The supported list is well out of date and really needs updating.

I have an LG G6 and it works no problem with my Blaze and Ionic. Not sure what to suggest other then the basics. If it helps at all, I use all day sync but turn off the always connected option. Syncing and notifications both work fine.

Hi N8teegee

Intruiged potential Ionic buyer here.  Is this a typo or did you say your lg G6 pairs with your Ionic?  Only it's not in the list and everyone's saying it's not compatible.

Hi,

Please update for an Lg G7 as well. My beautiful sister bought me the Fitbit Flex and I absolutely adore it! Why? Because my baby sister who is now a police officer bought the Flex for me with her hard earned money. Plus, I want to keep my Fitbit which I use every single day. I've tried everything to get it synced but Lg G7 isn't supported and I need it!

I dunno...Apple is looking pretty good, and I have an IPhone

Sorry @MistaPutz, I've only just seen your reply. Yes my Ionic works perfectly with my LG G6, syncs and receives notifications as to be expected.

It's great to see you here @Merc113.

As you might know, in order to have a successful connection between your tracker and phone, it needs to be a compatible mobile device. You can see our list of compatible mobile devices here.

If your phone isn't compatible, it doesn't mean that it won't work with your Fitbit but you might experience some connectivity issues. You can always try the instructions provide in the help article My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone but I don't guarantee it will work 100%.

Hey everyone!

OK, I contacted Fitbit customer service to "reset" my Flex 1 and with that in mind along with putting the "Bluetooth" and "location" services on my LG7...

IT SYNCS!

HUZZAH!

For sure! I love my Flex! My baby sister sister gave it to me for my birthday and yes; it's a first generation but I love it!

So to recap what you can try to make your "unsupported device" sync:

1.  Remove and re-add your Fitbit App.

2.  Turn off then on both Bluetooth and location services on your cell.

3.   Look for your Fitbit in the Bluetooth search and add it.

4.  If that doesn't work contact Fitbit customer services to reset your Fitbit and repeat step two whilst talking with customer service, who are amazing! They'll get it to work for you!

Good luck and good stepping, yo!

My Blaze will not sync with my Moto G(4) or my computer WiFi or Hardwired.  Keeps giving me message that I need to run the update, and when run it fouls out at the end going nowhere.

Hey @Oldscotsman, it's great to have on board and @Tonks78 thanks for stopping by.

If your tracker isn't syncing, I recommend taking a look at the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provide there or you can also try the steps that our friend @Tonks78 shared.

Let me know the outcome. Robot wink
