Iv got an lg g5 se smart phone, had a new fitbit blaze off my husband for Christmas. Really disappointed that it doesn't sync properly nor can i receive any calls or notifications. With technology today you would think that they would be compatible with every smart phone considering the features it has. So now i have to either buy a new phone or just put up with it, it feels like a bit of a waste of money to be honest. I doubt i would get another fitbit. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi , you need both WiFi active in the house for the phone, and Bluetooth to sync with the phone. I have LG G5 too.
Once that is correct make sure there is no fitbit in the software already.
I had to go to a computer with the Fitbit software to remove the older trackers from my account.
Oh yeah, other bluetooth devices or equipment , like headsets or printers for example should be set in bluetooth to disconnected or removed as well.
Then see if it will sync, it may update the software before actually sync'ing , and that can take a long time , usually more then 20 minutes, be patient is the motto here.
Ensure too that the blaze is not in Classic Bluetooth mode , its in the settings panel Classic = OFF
Try these steps and I hope this does work for you.

Notifications go from phone to Fitbit only.
Push notifications from Calendar , GMail , Facebook or others that do Push notifications.

The watch needs to connect to not only your phone , but also the Fitbit Application which will connect to Fitbit itself. This is why when you need to sync information from Fitbit Watch to the Phone, you need to enable both WiFi for Internet Access and Bluetooth on your phone.
The watch connects to the phone via Bluetooth, while the Fitbit Application needs to connect to Fitbit to update your account with the watch data. If one is missing the connection will fail to complete.

Ahh right i understand what your saying now. I have all of what you said connected correctly. I have all of a sudden started to receive call notifications on my tracker. It syncs a lot better now I've done what you said by only having one device on my fitbit app and by disconnecting all other devices off my Bluetooth connection.

You can set Notifications off on the Tracker , at the clock face swipe from top to bottom to get there.
Pretty handy if you need quiet for a while....
Enjoy your Blaze , its a cool watch with just the right features.

When I look at my LG G5, the watch appears to be syncing. I am not getting any call/text notifications though. I have notifications turned on on the watch, and have permissions set on my phone for the notifications from Fitbit. Any suggestions?

@Dawn50 i have the same issue. Its syncing on my phone but im not receiving and text notifications. I can get phone calls every now and then. I have read that changing the clock face can stop notifications, how true that is i dont no. I dont no how long the issue is going to be around for but it seems that issue with it not being compatible with the lg g5 has been for well over a year as iv read.

I think I found an answer. After lots and lots of research, I found information that said to clear my cache in my phone. I researched " how to clear cache on LG G5". I cleared the cache, restarted the phone, and it seemed to start working fine. I'm not sure if this will work for you, but I was shocked that it worked for me. Good luck.
