Blaze not tracking steps or miles accurately.

When using the exercise tracking mode on my Blaze with GPS enabled it is not tracking the miles accurately. Last night I had my phone along with me with the GPS enables and the blaze said I was walking at a pace of 25 minutes per mile....my phone said it was at 14 minutes per mile which is more accurate.

Also on Sunday my sister had her phone  tracking with GPS and I used my Blaze...it said I had done 1.7 miles my sisters phone said 2.36 miles....

it it is also still not tracking all of my steps. It will stall out, I will keep walking and it will stay stuck for about 10-20 steps before it starts tracking it again. I have tried deleting it from my app, have adjusted my stride length and restarted the Blaze several times.

Help my old Fitbit charge worked better!!!

I like my Blaze but I have similar problems.  I wore a simple fitbit zip for a couple of years before I got the Blaze (and a regular pedometer before that for about 10 years) so I have a pretty good feel for how far I go during my normal and workout routines.  Right away, I started noticing that the Blaze steps/distance seemed really low, relative to previous trackers.  I put my fitbit zip back on and started wearing both simultaneously.  Sure enough, on a 90 minute walk, the Blaze routinely falls behind the count by about 1000-2000 steps.  This is frustrating, so now I wear both trackers every day.  I rely on the zip for steps/ distance, and keep the Blaze for sleep and heart rate.  I wish it worked better.

Thank you for sharing a work around. I had been using an application in my phone to track miles and pace, Map My Fitness. While it has had a couple of inaccuracies for the most part works well. Lately it has started to act up and calculate more miles that what I am doing and the Blaze is counting less so am using a best guess method to track the workouts!

My Blaze was fairly accurate the first two years but now I'm noticing the same problem. It stalls. I had to walk for 1.5 hours to get 5700 steps today. That's off. Thinking I may need a different fitbit now.

Same issues here.

I also have a lot of GPS connection issues which i posted a while on another thread. thought I had fixed it, but the problem keeps coming back.

I do a walk on my lunchtime, same route every day.

It should be a 3 miles round walk, at first it did record that pretty correctly, then it started under recording. So same walk turned into 2.5 mile round trip.

As for GPS, it would say on my phone connected, but watch would say phone not found.

Sometimes it would record half the walk, then stop GPS logging.

Gets very irritating, especially during runs.

I decided to buy a Fitbit Ionic last night after reading reviews.

I know it undertracking/stalling because I never have to do 1.5 half of
walking on top of my day walking to get 10k. It is frustrating.

Also noticed it doesn't always link to my phone and the site so the weekly
reports are off. I did 6-7 miles a day when I was at the beach and it only
tracked a few days. Uhg
