What do you mean by "it doesn't stay on"? The display doesn't stay on. It comes on when you either raise your arm/turn your wrist (option in settings) or press the button on the left side of the watch. If the LED was on constantly, you'd need to charge daily.

yes regardless of lifting it or pressing buttons ..... nothing at all even after a 24hr charge. i take it out of the charging cradle and nothing blank.

Have you tried: Below you will find the short steps you have to take in order to restart your tracker: 1.Press and hold the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds. 2.Let go of the buttons.

Mine is similar but loads up for a bit and then turns off even after having a good charge overnight. Is it on its way out?!

Have you tried resetting? How long have you had it?

How do I reset it? By holding the buttons down for 10 secs?

Yes, hold down the left and bottom right buttons at the same time until you see the Fitbit logo.

So when I do that, it goes to some random time, I resync it and then a while later it shuts off again, I have to put it in the charging cradle to get it going again when it's actually fully charged!

Call fitbit. If they can't resolve the issue, they're actually really good about replacing defective units, usually within days.
