I bought my husband a Blaze for Christmas. He really liked the product. He plugged it into the charger yesterday and the over heat icon appeared an hour later and no charging. Do we need to send it back or is there a fix?

While the Blaze shows the too hot symbol, it will not charge, you need to remove it from it's charger and try after it has cooled down.
Once cooled I would try a restart(3xs) and see if that fixes it, but I think you will need to contact.fitbit.com
Http://help.fitbit.com/?q=restart for info on restarting.

A warm welcome to the Community @Rosemp62 and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
As recommended by our friend @Rich_Laue, please leave the tracker to cold down. Once you don't see the over hear icon you can plug it to the cradle and charge it.
Let me know the outcome.
