Has anyone had their blaze randomly add additional steps and calories to their daily stats? Lately I am incorrectly having thousands of steps and calories added spotnaneously and at one time. Just now my steps went up an additional 1,500 and calories went up an additonal 1,000. I did nothing.
so frustrating. any ideas/similar experiences?!

@mvdorma Do you think it could just be a lag or do you think the total steps are inaccurate? If you pull up your step/calorie burn graphs on your app, does it show that random big spike in steps/calorie burn?

Hey @Angelxray. Nice to see you are part of the Fitbit Family! :d
Whenever you get a Fitbit tracker, you will be asked to enter your information to crate your account. Based on your height, weight, gender and age, Fitbit will determine your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is basically how many calories you burn based on your personal information just for being alive. This means that for the previous days, you burned at least that amount of calories and now that you have your tracker it will start taking into consideration your activity for a more accurate reading.
Now, when it comes to steps, you might notice a few steps when setting up your tracker but this will not really affect the overall stats so you don't have to worry about them. With the use for the next days, it should be pretty accurate.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else!

Thanks for getting back @Angelxray! 🙂
On the Fitbit Blaze you can not do a factory reset. The only way to start from scratch is to create a new account and pair your tracker to the new account. Your tracker doesn't really store any information itself. What it does is that it takes the information you've entered on your profile and will work the calculations based on that but as soon as you pair it to a different account, it will take that new personal information and tailor the functioning of the tracker to that info.
