Hello!
I am a new owner of a FitBit Blaze. I just got mine a day ago and I'm loving the mew fun device. However, there's one thing that is bothering me about the Blaze. It over counts my steps too much. For example, I woke up this morning (March 26, 2018) and noticed it said I took around 300 steps already. I'm wondering if there is a way to make it more accurate to my steps and not busy my general movements of my arm. Can anyone give me and tips and tricks? Thank you!

Hey there @Myrazhe. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂
I'm sorry to hear that it seems that more steps are being counted than what it should be.
Fitbit devices have a finely tuned algorithm for step counting. The algorithm is designed to look for intensity and motion patterns that are most indicative of people walking and running. When working at a desk, cooking, or doing other arm movements, a device on your wrist can pick up some extra steps if it thinks you're walking. Many of these situations—such as working or cooking—do include a few steps in-between stationary periods so the device tries to give you credit for those steps. For the vast majority of customers, the amount of stray steps accumulated is negligible when compared to the entire day.
This means that if you wake up and remain in bed for a while but are moving your hands a lot, even when you're not walking, your Fitbit will try to give you credit for that, so have you noticed if this could be the case. In any situation, giving your tracker a restart would help. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot
Hope this helps and anything else you may need, let me know!
