Can we actually physically see what the text says? Not just have the watch say you got a text. Also can we view photos on it like on the Apple Watch?

No one has seen one in the wild yet but it should do texts like the Surge which I believe allows you to read them. Photos are a definite no at this point.

Blaze, Surge, Charge 2, Charge, Flex 2 - iPad Air 2, Nokia Lumia 925 (Deceased), iPhone 6

Take a look at the Fitbit help site for further assistance and information.

@MikeF Is right here.

Texts are displayed on the device itself- check out this example. Photos aren't available for viewing on the device at this time.

Regarding being able to watch photos on the tracker, feel free to add as suggestion on the Feature Requests subforum: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/idb-p/features

The awesome community can vote, add comments with the possibility of being picked up by the developers to integrate the functionality when there's a certain interest.

What if a friend texted you a picture

The blaze should be able to view pictures from your phone and ones that your friends text you. This is a huge deciding factor wether I get the Iwatch or this

There's no option for pictures on the display, @SunsetRunner. Remember, the Blaze is a smart Fitness watch, meaning the core focus of the device is to display your activity metrics. There are a few really cool smart features on the device, but most of the focus will be on providing your daily statistics.

While it's likely outside of the roadmap for potential features for the Blaze, I'd still recommend adding your voice to our Feature Request board for the consideration of the Fitbit Community, and our developers.
