Blaze provides inaccurate distance on indoor track

Is there a way to change your exercise to track when starting a workout? Now that it’s winter and I’ve moved to an indoor track my work out distance is very inaccurate. I’m walking 3 miles and usually the Fitbit will say about a mile and a half when I’m done. I’m not sure if I should be changing some setting or if it just isn’t going to work well on a track. But it’s a track and 54 laps equals 3 Miles so I’m sure it’s the tracker that’s the problem. I’ve looked on the app and can’t really find anything to help me. Thanks

Hello @Jkane1013 to tell if it is the tracker, do a step count test.

I take a walk, start on the right foot, while counting every left step for 100 steps. Then stop the tracker is usually within 2 steps.

Now that we know the step count is good, we need to set the stride. Fitbit thinks everybody is average, we are not.

I have the opposite problem where it stated that I walked 3.3 miles and I’m sure that I only walked 1.5 miles

@Renniewill what was your step count?

No multiply this by the stride setting.
