Blaze registering too many active minutes

I've been aware that my Blaze is not particularly accurate. It rarely tracks peak heart rate (and trust me when I am sweating my hinder off and my heart is beating like crazy, I know it is not 88 bpm).

My new favorite thing though is that for the last two days I've forgotten to wear it and it was sitting on my nightstand where it racked up 229 active minutes in one day. I mean I suppose it's possible my dog opened the door, found it, attached it to his leg and ran around the house with it while I was gone and before I came home managed to unattached it, put it back on the nightstand exactly as I left it before closing the bedroom door behind himself on his way out. He is pretty smart.

Or perhaps, like an animated movie, the Blaze comes to life and has adventures of its own.

Or the Blaze is a seriously flawed device. That seems more likely to me.

It's great to see you around @Lakaleelee.

About the heart rate, I recommend taking a look at this post, where you will be able to see some things that might be affecting this reading and some tips to improve it.

Now about the active minutes, I know that you said that you weren't wearing your device but did you log any activity that might provide you with these active minutes? Have you tried to restart your device? If you haven't, you can restart it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

I'm sure you're nice but I found your response frustrating and maybe a little insulting. Do you not think I'd know if I logged 200+ minutes in a day myself?  Really?  Come on.

I have reset it before.  Will reset it again.  Skeptical that is going to solve anything.
