Blaze screen flashing and over-tracking steps and floors

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I looked at my Blaze when I got up and the screen was flashing all of the different screens at the same time.  Rebooted the device and now it is counting floors and steps I have not taken....  Was there a "bad" update pushed out over the weekend?

Hi there @doogerbeck. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you were having problems with your Blaze screen flashing and now that it seems that it counts floors and steps you haven't taken. Restarting your tracker was definitely a great thing to do!

Now, it could be that your tracker recorded those steps and floors by accident just for this time, so I'd say, that this shouldn't happen again tomorrow, meaning that the steps and floors should be counted as normal now. If you feel like it, you could try to set up your tracker as a new device just to make sure everything will be fine. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Hope this helps and if you need anything else, let me know!

I followed your advice and re-added the device.  within seconds without ever leaving my chair I received credit for a number of steps and another flight of stairs.  So far it has given me 59 flights of stairs today when in fact it should be closer to 3 flights.

Nothing from Fitbit.  Problem persists today.  Looks like it is time to go with a different manufacturer if Fitbit will not support my device.
