Blaze was working fine and then all of the sudden screen went black. I've tried to reset it but it flashes a light color and goes black again ... THE green lights on back have turned off, not syncing to phone, so something has happened ... Thinking of letting battery go dead and attempt to reset with a charge? Any clue, ideas?

Thanks for sharing detailed information about your Blaze, as well for the troubleshooting steps that you've tried. Since your device isn't responding correctly, I'd suggest to try the following steps:
1. Clean the gold contacts on the back of your device and charging cable with a toothbrush and rubbing alcohol.
2. Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
3. Restart your device one more time.
