I received my ne fitbit blaze. The app is installed on my phone I tried setting up and get to the software update and it tells me the battery is too low. It has been on the charger for more then 24 hours and still says the same thing when setting up. I have restarted both devices and it shows only 4 red bars on the battery. Now I cannot even get the screen to turn on.

Welcome to the forums @Acecchi

Have you tried restarting the Blaze? Just hold in the left button and the lower right button at the same time until the Fitbit logo pops up.

You never need to charge a Fitbit overnight. My Blaze doesn't need to charge more than two hours when the battery is low.

@Acecchi  you can get with support at the link posted above. If you bought your Blaze locally, it could be faster to exchange it there.

Do get with support. They might have a few suggestions to get you going.

@Acecchi, when you plug the Blaze in, you should feel a vibration.
