Blaze shutting down during exercise

My blaze seems to be randomly shutting off during exercise. I have just starting using my blaze after 5 months not using it I have had this issue before. At the moment it is fine at work and during running. But 3 times a week I am doing boxing training, i don’t know if this is too much of an exercise for the blaze to track or not. I also have a leather strap I purchased from amazon so I’m going to try the original strap to see if this resolves it but I can’t see why the strap would affect anything. Has anyone had this issue with the same sort of training or without?

Hi @Matthew.B nice to see you on the Fitbit Community. Thanks for letting me know that your Blaze is shutting off during your boxing training. Sorry for the delayed response.

I don't think that the band would be an issue for the Fitbit Blaze. But you mentioned that you have had this issue before. Did you noticed the same behavior in the past? I'd recommend to restart your Blaze and check if this issue is happening with any other workout. Also check these tips on how to wear your Fitbit while working out:

When you’re not exercising, wear your device a finger’s width above your wrist bone. Fitbit’s PurePulse technology is designed to be most accurate when you wear your device on the top of your wrist.

  1. Experiment with wearing the device higher on your wrist during exercise for an improved fit and more accurate heart-rate reading. Many exercises such as bike riding or weight lifting cause you to bend your wrist frequently, which could interfere with the heart-rate signal if the watch is lower on your wrist.

  2. Make sure the device is in contact with your skin.
  3. Do not wear your device too tight; a tight band restricts blood flow, potentially affecting the heart-rate signal. That being said, the device should also be slightly tighter (snug but not constricting) during exercise than during all-day wear.

I'll be around in case that you have more questions about this.
