My blaze just told me that "It's 2017 let's go through your goals and update!" But now it logs my starting weight as my NOW weight and it keeps setting itself to a goal weight that I don't want? I thought I'd fixed the starting weight issue but then it just logged that as my today weight. Does that make sense? So I've lost all my progress charts and things because my original starting weight isn't being recognised for some reason.
Anyone got any ideas?

Audrey, on the mobile app, under the account setting, scroll down and you'll see the goals you have setup. Choose Nutrition and Body and you'll see the goal values and effective dates
i went in and edited the start date for my goal(april 1, 2016) and entered what my actual weight was on that date, and the setting is now set back to showing the amount lost since April 1, 2016
hope this helps

@EllaMay To clarify, the weight loss goal in the app will always display what you've lost from the date of the weight goal change.
If you'd like to see your all-time weight loss progress, simply click on the weight tile and navigate through the desired dates in the graph. If you're seeing something different, can you please share a screenshot of your app so I can take a deeper dive into what's happening? That would be super helpful in further investigating.

Hi,
I faced the same issue. I simply did not want my start weight to be changed. Please advise on how my start weight can be logged back to where it was as on the date I created it.
thanks

So my starting weight I logged back in October was 81kgs. Yesterday when it told me to refresh it took my starting weight as 73.2 which is what I am now. I managed to change my starting weight back to 81 but it just logs it as me weighing 81 yesterday and then dropping to 73 today. Its more annoying than anything. Also it keeps auto setting my weight goal to 69.9 which I can't seem to change

I have the same issue as ellamay. I was prompted to set a new weight goal and now the weight loss since date is set to today.
I would like it to be early in 2016 on the dashboard so I can see the actual overall loss. Not wanting to scroll through months of results
Please advise how to reset that goal, or delete the most recent goal I was prompted to set
thanks

Hi
Any update on this at all? Also why is the fitbit app auto setting my goal weight to 69.9? Won't let me change it at all

Same problem here on my Charge HR. I did not reset my weight goal but merely clicked on "OK" to keep the same goal I have always had. It now shows my starting weight as 211 (which was my weight on January 1, 2017) and shows 0 weight lost. I lost 65 lbs last years so this is kind of a big deal to me.

@TJgraham, thanks for this. I had the exact same issue as above and this is the exact solution I was after.
Cheers!

Where are you guys seeing the ability to set/change the starting date for the goal? I've checked the mobile app (2.18.908 -39452) and the desktop app (same build) and I don't see a starting date tied to any of the Nutrition & Body settings. Under Nutrition I see Water (editable), Food (displays plan when selected but doesn't let you enter/change the starting date). Under Body I see Weight (selectable - maintain, lose or gain), Goal Weight (editable), Starting Weight (not editable) and Body Fat (editable but changes based on your current weight. Am I missing something?
