Blaze switching which device it's connected to

My new Blaze has been paired/bonded to my phone.  I also have the fitbit app on my iPad.  The Blaze updates/syncs to my phone normally throughout the day ("All day sync" and "always connected" are on), however, whenever I grab my iPad at home, and open the fitbit app, my tracker then bonds/pairs/switches to the iPad, and won't sync/disconnects from my phone.  To "fix" it, I have to turn off bluetooth on the iPad, and then re-pair it with my phone again.  I switched from a Charge HR, which never had this problem. Once the Charge HR was bonded to my phone, that was it.  I could use the app on the iPad, and it only reflected the data that had been synced from the phone.  The iPad never actually "connected" to the Charge HR.  One work around is to turn off bluetooth on the iPad and leave it off, but then my bluetooth keyboard won't work with the iPad. **SIGH**.  I just want the iPad to leave my Blaze alone! 🙂 Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if this will help, but due to the limitations of a Bluetooth receiver, like what's in your Blaze, BT is only able to connect to one device at a time.

While out and about the Blaze is connected to your phone, and still connected when your in the house. To Sync to the iPad you'll first have to disconnect it from the phone.

If your phone is far enough away from the iPad then it should have no problems connecting, because the Blaze has lost connection with the phone.

Now the Blaze is connected to the iPad and this connection will keep the phone from connecting, remember the BT on the Blaze can only connect to one device.

Move far enough away from the iPad and the phone will automatically connect.

Why you don't have to turn the phones BT off is a mystery.

That's what is odd.  I don't disconnect it from my phone, but, if I am close enough to the iPad, it switches (automatically), but... then I can NOT switch it back to my phone without disabling bluetooth on the iPad (as expected).....   I finally got tired of dealing with it, so I uninstalled the fitbit app from the iPad entirely.  Which is okay.... Thanks for the post!
