I've had a Fitbit Blaze for about 2 years now. Aside from software update/sync issues in the past, it has worked pretty well. But in the past few days, something has went wrong. The Blaze is no longer responding to the touch screen at all. And the screen changes randomly as though it has been touched.
I've tried resetting the device and charging it overnight. The side buttons still seem to be working fine. When it changes to a different screen on its own, I can use the side button to get back to main screen. The best I can tell, it is still tracking as it normally does. Syncing to my phone still works. It appears to still charge the battery like normal. Anything else I can try to fix this issue?

I will be interested in the reply on this question, my Fitbit Blaze started doing almost exactly the same thing about a week ago. I can't control it through the touchscreen, it randomly goes to screens, but all the buttons and functions seem to be working properly.
Thank you.

The same exact thing just started to happen to my blaze as well. Worked completely fine until now. The screen freezes up and at times it’s difficult to navigate. Let me know also if there is anything else I can do. I tried restarting it too. Thanks!

No resolution for this issue. They opened a support ticket and the best they could do was offer a replacement Fitbit at 25% off, since I'm out of the warranty period. The touchscreen still doesn't respond and it randomly goes to screens. But the side buttons still work, so when it does change screens I can get back to the main screen using the side buttons. Also still tracking and syncs with the app. At this point, I'm still using it til it stops working completely. Another issue is the battery dies more quickly now since the random screen changes keeps the display active more than normal.

I have the same issue but can swipe up or down, but not side to side. I don’t think side buttons are working because I can’t reset either with them. Please help!

I'm having the same issue. Seems like a lot of people have the same problem in just the last month or so. Really frustrating. If these things are only meant to last a couple of years - I'll invest in an Apple watch.

I have just started having this same problem and barely have had it over a year. Does anyone have a better suggestion on a different tracker? I'm done with fitbit 😞

@AlejandraFitbit, is there any way to recommend me to the Support Team? My blaze is still not responding to touch screen or side buttons & I've already tried to troubleshoot & reset. Its almost been a week now.

Yup, exact same thing happened to my Blaze. Seems like the company must have pushed out a bug so that we all have to buy the next "best" Fitbit. For as expensive as these are, you are better off with the apple watch. I have owned several Fitbit trackers and none of them last.

I got it to work!!!!! Since the side buttons weren't responding, I was never able to do a reset, but I could tell that was what it needed. I went through all technical support, but no solutions. It was still tracking, so I knew it just needed a reset. I finally let the battery run out all the way on it, recharged & voila! full functioning again! Hope this helps others. 🙂

My Fitbit blaze touch screen also doesn’t respond to touch and randomly changes as if being touched. I have had it less than one year.

My Blaze eventually died completely. No longer able to charge. Then I switched to my daughters old Blaze, which she abandoned a few months earlier for an Apple Watch. That one only lasted a few more weeks and then it also stopped working in a different way. It just stopped working all at once and won't power on anymore. Now I switched to my other daughters old Surge, which she also abandoned a few months earlier for an Apple Watch. So far the Surge is working for me, especially as a running watch with onboard GPS. But definitely not as stylish as the Blaze or the latest Fitbit products like the Versa. I think it may be time to jump ship to an Apple Watch after the Surge gives out.

The restart function resolved the longstanding problem immediately. Thank you.
