Blaze tracking data when not wearing it and notifications won't work

Before I start, I want to say that I already tried resetting my Blaze and it did not work.

For the past week, my Blaze has been recording activity when I'm not wearing it. Last night, it recorded that I had 317 active minutes between 12 am and 6 am, when I was sleeping and my Blaze was on my nightstand (no fans or anything that would cause movement near by).  The heart rate section on my app, shows that I had 5 hours and 3 minutes in the peak zone with a max heart rate of 181 beats per minute between 12 am and 6 am, which is impossible because, again, I was not wearing it. In addition to that, I am not getting notifications for text messages and the notifications I get for phone calls always show up as my husband, even when it's not my husband calling. It is about 2 years old, so it's out of warranty, but I did expect it to last a little longer than 2 years.

Hello there @KeicoD, thanks for stopping by. I'm sorry for the late response. Thanks for all the steps you've tried and checked in order to solve the inconveniences with your Blaze.

Can you please let me know if your mobile device is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

If you haven't done so, please let's try these steps in the following order:

1. Remove the Blaze device from the Bluetooth settings on your phone.
2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
3. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
4. Setup your Blaze as a replacement.

Let me know the outcome, I'll be around.

Hi, I did all the things you suggested. Replacing worked for a little while but it started doing the same thing this week. Sunday-Tuesday, it says I burned 6,347 calories each day. Which is not only ridiculously high, but also odd that I burned the exact same number of calories even though I had different activity levels each day. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7.

Hi there @KeicoD, thanks for following the tips and recommendations I provided.

Since none of the steps you tried have worked, I've created a case to get you in contact with our Support Team about this. They will be able to work with you and review your options. Please keep a lookout in your inbox to the email address associated with this Fitbit account. Someone will be in contact with you soon!

Let me know if there's anything else I may do to assist you with.
