Blaze useful Tips and Questions

Greetings !!  I thought instead of having a multitude of threads with many problems being solved and then repated, it might be useful to have 1 big thread for the newcomers and other veteran users of the Blaze.

That way, it's easy to scan for problems ans solutions.

In order to make it easy for someone to scan this thread, I am going to ask that any problems or questions you ask be bold-faced in a big red font type and similarly any definitive solutions be answered in big green font type.

That should make this thread useful.Smiley Happy

Hello @Corvettekid it's great to have you here! 🙂 Currently it is not possible to make the battery icon bigger and it does not show the percentage level left in the battery. I would suggest to visit the Feature Request board and share your ideas, I found an idea related to the alarm feature you are requesting:   Silent alarm continues vibrating until snoozed or cancelled, make sure to vote and add your comments. Also follow the community guidelines and refrain from typing in all capital letters, enlarging text for emphasis, changing the font color or style, or using numerous exclamation points.

Let me know if you have any questions! 🙂

If the Blaze dies, it will save the steps that have not synced.
As for the red icon, we would need to know how long it's been red, if you want to conserve battery turn off the HR.
As for being away from the the no it does not use more battery, the Blaze does not look for the phone or computer, it listens for them. Keeping all day sync on may shorten r 🙂 e battery life of both the phone and the Blaze, that is if the phone is close enough to sync the Blaze.

I see their might be a problem with comprehension here.

I'll start with an annoyance: is there any way to make the batter indicator bigger or also show a number?

Unless it's full or empty, it can be tough to guestimate how much battery life is left.

Question on Alarms: Can you make the alarm continuos until you touch the watch?   I would like it to wake me in the morning but it is going off before I wake.

Thanks for the answers and suggestions, Angela.  Why does FitBit not want highlighted fonts and colors if the interface allows for it ?  I think it's helpful in a thread so people can scan for stuff more quickly if it's highlighted or boldfaced or in a different color/size/font.

I have another question:  will the Blaze drain quicker if it is out-of-range from my Android Smartphone ?

Sometimes I sleep with the Blaze in my bedroom and my Galaxy S4 is in the living room which is 10 feet away direct (but through a wall) and 30 feet away by walking.

My Blaze is now showing 1 red bar in the Battery indicator -- anybody know how much time I have left ? Are we talking a few hours or another day or so ?

Is there another lower-level that tells me when I am even closer to 0% -- like a flashing red battery indicator or LOW BATTERY warning ?

Also....if the Blaze dies and you have to recharge, does it lose the latest daily data ?  If so, you'll want to recharge before it goes completely to 0% which is why I asked above about something telling you you are approaching 1% or thereabouts.

My Blaze isn't Syncing at times....I have a Red Circle with an "!" in the middle.

Sometimes, TRACKER NOT FOUND also shows up (Yes, Bluetooth is enabled).

Restarting my Galaxy S4 has solved the problem but why is this happening at times ?  I don't want to have to re-boot my phone all the time to sync/update the Fitbit App.

I have seen pictures of the blaze showing a full screen heart beat with the semicircle button on lower right of the screen and what looks like a chequered flag icon on the top right.
I haven't been able to find how to reach that page on my Blaze.
Is there such a feature/screen? And if so, how do I get to it?
Or, is this a picture that's been edited?

Cheers,
Steven

20160719_184829.jpg@StevenDon is this the screen your thinking of? If so than you see it while tracking an exercise.

@Corvettekid I'm not sure what's going on.. One thing to try would be to turn BT off/on.

I'm running the beta app and find the only time I have sync problems is after an update, which happens up to twice a week.

My phone is my tracker (Fitbit MobileTrack). Therefore no BT connection to worry about. I've had sync "problems" with Fitbit servers for over a year. From where I sit, its as if Fitbit throttles the number of connections, and ends up rejecting some of my sync requests. I haven't bothered to sniff traffic at my router to see if Fitbit servers are closing the connection.

One workaround that usually resolves the "won't sync" issue is quiting and restarting the app. Draw your own conclusions on what that means.
