Blaze vs Surge vs Charge screens

Hi all,

I've been a Fitbit Charge user for some time now, but continue to wear a standard analogue wristwatch as the Charge's screen is not 'always on' and the movement activation is a bit hit-and-miss. To this end I recently bought a Surge but find it quite difficult to read the screen and have gone back to the Charge and a standard watch.

How much brighter, and easier to read is the Blaze's screen over the Surge's?  Also is the Blaze screen always on like the Surge or does it completely 'black out'.

Cheers.

I have both the Surge and Blaze and the Blaze screen is significantly better. But, it's like the Charge and doesn't stay on all the time.

I thought this would be an issue for me but I'm finding the Quick view function (where it detects you raising your wrist and turns on the screen) to be very effective.

The blaze does go black to conserve battery life.  You can set the Quick-View for it show when you lift your wrist to look at it, and I find that works great.

I am with you though, I wore a standard watch on my left and my ChargeHR on my right every single day.  Now please ask why I wear two watches becasue I have been doing the same with the Blaze.  Just yesterday I dropped the left wrist standard watch and I have been happy with only my blaze for telling time.
