Blaze wakes up when it's not supposed to.

I have Quick View to OFF.

Brightness to DIM

Bluetooth Classic to OFF

Heart Rate to AUTO

Version 17.8.200.3

I've noticed that the watch wakes up at random times. Most noticable in bed as it lights up the dark room.

I'm fairly thing and have thin wrists. The buttons are not contacting with the back of my hand or my forearm. I've confirmed that several times.

So...why is the watch waking up?  Is it sensing heart rate (currently Auto) then powering up the screen?

I've shut down and rebooted the watch several times. I've synced mutiple times and still doing. This has been going on for days.  Recently had an instance last week where it drained the battery completely in about 12 hrs.  I had the Brightness to DIM and the Smartwakeup feature on.  Didn't do anything different that day then any other.

Currently on .200 firmware but I'm not sure if the new one that is still rolling out will even fix this.

Please advise.

There are three ways to light up the Blaze you've mentioned two of them? Have you rouled out the double tap, or shock like clapping of the hands?

Ok. Based on the previous reply I've made an attempt to monitor my Blaze much more closely.

A good BRISK double tap wakes the screen.

Light taps do NOT wake the phone up.  This is good.

Unfortunately, the phone wakes up on its on when in the following instances:

- when laying down, arm above the sheets

- standing, with arms slightly in front and moving small items (think straightening papers on a desk)

- sitting down with arm on arm rest of chair or couch and move it.

Things that I paid particular attention to:

- Ensuring nothing had brushed across the screen (no matter how lightly) and despite the fact it takes a good finger wacking to wake it up normally.

- Ensure the watch had not fallen forward on my arm that it might contact the back of my hand when wrist is at a 90 degree angle (towards buttons)

- Ensure no clothing or other item is near or could bump the watch.

If any of the above happened and the phone woke up (which it did) I disregarding the result.

Keeping the above in mind, I've seen the watch wake up when is shifts on my wrist slightly. Usually a tiny bit of sweat seems to build and the watch sticks to my arm.  When the watch shifts and breaks that bond it wakes up.  Not always, just some of the time.

I have heart set to Auto so I'm not sure if that is kicking in and turning the screen on or if its a combination of the auto heart rate and the shifting of the watch or if its something else.

I'd turn Quick View on and off again to make sure it's set correctly because there really isn't anything else that should cause the display to light as a result of motion.
