Blaze will not sync when on wifi in airplane mode

I'm in Peru hiking and am only able to attempt to sync when back in town connected to wifi. It starts to sync and then about half way through the message changes from syncing to waiting and then stops. The last time it was successfully synced was before my flight from the US. My Bluetooth is connected, wifi is connected and I have restarted both my phone and blaze and nothing seems to work. A friend I am with is using the Alta and it is syncing as expected. Any suggestions or thought on what I can do it get this fixed?

Correct - to sync your tracker, an Internet connection is required.  (BT sends info to phone, then phone sends to Fitbit.com via Internet, then shows in APP)

You can still view your details on the blaze itself - with the exception of a few details (like active minutes)

Take it out of airplane mode......

Like I said I'm in Peru. So taking it off airplane mode isn't an option.

It seems that if you absolutely need to sync your tracker in Peru, then you have to take your phone off of airplane mode until it is synced, based on the fact that you can't sync while on airplane mode. Probably something about airplane mode limits the app's functionality, causing it to not work correctly. In the mean time, your watch will continue to track data and once you are back home you can sync it all then. You can always try chatting with fitbit support to see if they have additional ideas or if you want to verify that the phone needs to not be on airplane mode.

I'm going to look at this in a different way.
In Peru what type of Wifi ate you hooking up to?
With every app there is an Internet connection and a port number. These ports are like doors, close one and no traffic can flow.
Some public and even private wifi providers close nonstandard ports, If the door Fitbit needs to talk through is closed, then sunc ypu shall not.
Your Fitbit will remember seven days of detail, and another tweenty three days of general daily step counts.

I'm hooked up though hotel wifi most of the time.

Thanks for trying to trouble shoot - I'll probable just loose a few days
and try and test this out again when back in the states.

The Blaze stores basic data for 30 days, so you should be good to sync when you get home, unless you are in Peru longer than that.
