Blaze won't charge

I've contacted support before about charging issues regarding my Fitbit Blaze that was handed down to me from my mom. Since the 11th, I haven't been able to get it to charge. Cleaned the contracts on the charger and the watch and noticed some of the plating is missing and chipping on other pieces of the charging spot.

I've tried every step possible and can't reset it or get it to charge despite the lights on the back of it working. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @MunkeeBoy  used to have a Blaze myself. These devices do have an end of life. Mine stopped charging one day (after nearly two years) and nothing revived it. Was it sitting long with a dead battery before you received it from your mom? Sometimes these devices sit dead and it's hard to get them to revive. There are times when it just doesn't return to life. You could try the Inspire HR, which also monitors heart rate and with sales coming up, such as Mother's Day, you might get it for a good price.

It was working pretty much fine outside of the battery lasting just over two, maybe three days. I cleaned the contacts more and one of the ones is chipped, but not to an extent that it shouldn't charge.

Sadly, now I'm only getting the BPM lights on the back. I've tried to force reset (left button + bottom right for at least 10-12 seconds).

I've done everything I can, we've had this watch just around, maybe, a year and a half? We upgraded my mom to the newest Versa soon as it released and we only had this Blaze for a few months or so before that.

The issues have just escalated within the past few months. I've contacted their support before and never heard back. I thought they were supposed to call me after a couple of charges recognized by their system unless the lady spoke wrong.

I do appreciate the recommendation, but unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak I am out of work as a contractor, so a new watch isn't something I would do right now. I did more digging and apparently the issues I'm having are a well known issue and has been discussed in-depth, including the flaws regarding the chipping on the back and only lasting less than two years, which is an alarming fact (yes this was on the official forums here for Fitbit).

I'm just looking to possibly get mine serviced/repaired by Fitbit if possible.

All you can do is check with support again, but there is no repair option for these devices. Support generally doesn't make phone calls, but they do email. They are overwhelmed right now too, but it can't hurt to contact them again. Unfortunately, with all this covid virus going on, support is weekdays only.
