Blaze won't set up at all

I was given a Blaze by my daughter last night. I have downloaded the app on my Nokia Lumia520 running Windows 8.1 . It pairs with the blaze via bluetooth but I cannot set anything up. All thet remains on the screen is the Fitbit Logo and "fitbit.com/setup" written underneath it.

I tried on my desktop computer - running Windows 8.1 and it won't let me download anything software for it. The computer cannot find the Blaze on Bluetooth but finds the phone - so that is working. Tried resetting as per other posts - same deal - cannot get the Blaze to shift off that screen. It is fully charged. Help is definitely required.

I am having the same problem.   Connected to my computer and shows up on the Fitbit App (Windows 8.1) and connected to my phone - but my iPhone 6 keeps telling me that Blaze needs an update - when I click on update nothing happens..... and I can't get past that **ahem** Fitbit setup screen.  Have tried logging out of everything and logging back in, have tried resetting the Blaze all to no avail.  I am about to throw a hissy fit and shove it down somebody's throat.

Just bought a fitbit Blaze, will not sync to Iphone 6 via app. I have reinstalled the app three times, reset the phone, turned BT on and off and reset the Blaze after each attempt. Also when i plug the Blaze into my MacBook Pro it doesnt come up on my desktop. Do i need a new one? Very fustrated at this product

My problem is that is was a GIFT - can't really complain to her - but I wish I could just get OFF that logo screen on the front of the Blaze - cannot even get the clock or ANYTHING 🙂

I just got my Fitbit Blaze after using (and losing) a Flex and two defunct Charge HR's.  Did the whole add a new device on the Fitbit App and got a "Looking......."  that goes on forever and totally locks up the screen.  Tried restarting my iphone 5S twice, but got the same "Looking...." lockup when I tried to add a new device.  Tried a Fitbit Customer Service Chat, but got kicked off by the time I hit 3 in the cue.  Note at this point that I had the processor loose (not in the wristband).

However - I think I solved my own problem (and maybe alot of other folks' problems).  I was trying to set up the Blaze outside the wristband (just the computer part).  When I put the Blaze [processor] into the wristband holder, rebooted the iphone, and went back into the Fitbit app, hit the setup new device - voila!  The whole process (as I had with my other fitbits) started and it's just now updating the software (about 10 minutes).

All set up; got the learn-about-your-fitbit section on the app.  Good to go and a happy camper.

Putting the processor in the wristband for setup seems to be the key - but nothing ever mentions that's what you need to do.

OK - working now.

Had to get my daughter to put onto her iPhone6 and she got it up and running.

BUT, the Blaze is not supported on any platforms I have - PC or Phone.

If you buy one (and remembering that mine was a gift), Fitbit says to check the compatability.

I checked the compatability online and it said it was compatible, but the phone is - just not the OS.

Same with my PC - I will need to update the OS if I want to use it.

Still - it's the thought that counts.

My advice is to get a friends phone and see if it works on theirs - if it does, then your phone may need upgrading. My phone is a work phone - doubt if they will update it for me - but I will be cheeky and ask on Monday 🙂

Thanks for all who replied.

I managed to sort mine... Logged out of my account and deleted the Fitbit app off my phone and reinstalled it - then I logged in and was able to run the update (which wouldn't work initially). Once the update was run everything worked.
