I am unable to keep the blaze connected to my phone, and when it doesn't stay connected, getting them reconnected is a real struggle. Many reboots, readding watch, toggling Bluetooth, changing settings on watch and phone.
I have made attempts to turn off battery optimatizations for all Fitbit apps and Bluetooth apps. No change. Turning sync functions on and off, no change.
Phone is Moto g3 running lineage.
I don't feel like my devices are the issue, but that this may be an overall software issue with the blaze. I have read about many others having this issue.
I work somewhere that I cant have my cell, the watch won't reconnect after I get back to the phone. And most days after sleep, I struggle to get it to reconnect.

It's great to welcome you @Kenkrsme and thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. Keep in mind that in order to connect your tracker properly with your phone, it needs to be a compatible mobile device. The Moto G3 is not compatible and that might be an inconvenience at the moment of connecting your Blaze with it.
You can try to follow the instructions provided in the Having trouble syncing? post but I don't guarantee it will work 100%.
Let me know the outcome.

so what part of the device makes it more compatible or less compatible then another phone. firmware? chipset? inability to program for a standard that works for every other bluetooth device i own? has any research been done to determine why certain devices are incompatible?

I seem to have found some stability by upgrading lineage to a newer nightly. I still have to toggle Bluetooth after the watch disconnects for some time. But I haven't had to play the restart everything 5 times game. Notifications come through more regularly as long as they don't separate too far.
