well, i scoured the forum and found a hint to hold down the left and lower right buttons to reset. that seems to have done it -- when i was treating my last pt, i got a text on my watch!

Hey there @drjanet. Good to see you around! 🙂

To get your phone and your Blaze to work with notifications again, I can recommend going to the bluetooth settings on your phone. Here you will find the Blaze and if you tap on it, you will be able to choose the option that says "Forget this device". Do that and after this, go to the Fitbit app, tap on your tracker, go down to the Notifications section and here, enable call/text/calendar notifications again and see how it goes.

Let me know if you notice any improvement!

I've tried that repeatedly for the past day -- no luck. so to recap, since the upgrade of both the Blaze and my samsung to Android 7.0, my Blaze no longer receives texts. this sucks.  I've reset everything, both my phone and Blaze are paired Bluetooth Classic (whatever that is...), disconnected and repaired numerous times. i do receive call alerts, just no texts, which is what i really want most. my text notifications in Fitbit are set to Messages, my android app Fitbit allows notifications, my Fitbit android app has permissions for phone and SMS and contacts. my Blaze's bluetooth is On.

what more can I do?

Could it be that the notifacations option on the Blaze has been turned off? Swipe down on the clock.
