Should i use this mode when i go to the gym rather logging each activity? Seems like it would be easier to do. But not sure how it would effect my results. I usually do, cardio first like the treadmill, little spinning, weights and then stair climber. Still new to the fit bit and could use some guidance.

It depends on how you want see it on your dashboard.
You can rename workout but you cant name it all of them. Only one.
Some people like to see every thing they did. Not lumped together
