Blinking red while charging

My Fitbit Blaze is connected to my charger, good power source, clean connection but the power level has been blinking red and not going up for 2 hours now. Restarted it 5 times and every time I take it off the power source it dies. The screen (with the time) also lights up and then goes black every couple minutes. Any ideas on DIY?
